This feature is only relevant to a MetaStock compatible database and includes two options.  You can move all stocks for an exchange to a sector or sub-sector directory structure.

 

Moving all stocks will automatically create the required folders with the same name as the relevant industry sector.

 

Moving All Stocks by Industry Sector

 

1.        Click the Open Portfolio icon.  

 

2.        Click on Stocks for the relevant Exchange.

 

3.        Click the Move All icon   to show the following screen. 

 

 

                   

 

 

4.        Click the option button to select the desired sector level and then click the Move All button.

 

5.        The moving process will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes.

 

To maintain your database in the desired Industry Group structure, periodically repeat the above procedure.  Any new stocks that have been added to the database or that have moved Industry sector will automatically be re-located to the appropriate folder.
