The Move command allows you to move a security data file from one directory to another.

 

Do not move a security if you have already moved then into industry groups as it will be moved back when you refresh this listing.  See the Watch List option as a possible alternative.

 

 

1. Click the Open Portfolio icon. 
2. Select the relevant security in the Portfolio Grid.
3. Click the Data Edit icon  and then click Move from the drop down list to show the following screen.

                              

4. Click the drop down list and select the destination directory.
5. Click the Move button.

Activating this command will copy the data file to the target directory and delete the original file from the source directory. The Portfolio grid will be updated to reflect the new location.  In case of the MetaStock compatible format the Master file will also be updated to reflect the new location.
