Make a back-up using GemPro

1. Place a new writeable CD in your CD Writer drive of your source (old) computer .

2. Start GemPro and click the Utilities menu item.  From the drop down list, click Back-Up To CD.

3. On the window that appears, click the Back Up button to commence the back-up process.  Remove the CD when the copying process has completed

4. Using your destination (new) computer, Click here to Download the GemPro Setup file.

5. In the File Download dialog box that appears, choose the option  "Save this file to your local disk" and remove the tick (if any) from "Close this dialog box when download completes".

6. In the Save As dialog box that appears, choose the destination folder to copy the file to.

7. When the download completes, click the Open button to start the installation program and follow the on-screen instructions.

8. When the installation has completed, the GemPro program will start automatically.  If not, launch GemPro from your desktop Icon.

9. Place the CD you created earlier in the CD drive of your destination (new) computer.

10. Click the Utilities menu item and then select Install Historic Data from CD-ROM.

11. Choose your CD-ROM drive from the drop down list and click Install.

Although it is not required immediately, you will need to contact support to re-set your System ID.

Congratulations, GemPro and your database should now be installed on your new computer.
